The Importance of Remembering

We previously introduced the idea of forgetfulness in order to experience separation.   Forgetting also becomes an important factor in evaluating consciousness where the perception of an event is compared with the actuality of that event. But once forgetting has been utilized to create the illusion of separation, the process of re-integration must begin in order for the human species to evolve.

Forgetfulness allows the complete experience of separation. Re-integration, which is the evolutionary process of unfolding, occurs from simple to complex and from one cell to complex organism. This step-wise process returns us to the eventual and original state of Wholeness.  At each step, a little more connection has to be appreciated and a little more individual separation given up. This process can be followed from unicellular through multi-cellular organisms to non-social animals and plants to socially organized plants and animals. At each step of the way, there is a little more memory of connection.

The largest leap in evolution has to be when there is functional connection. This is experienced through the field, where the organism is functioning both as a connected piece and as an individual.

This is like imagining a dual consciousness in a Borg,an entity from Star Trek: The Next Generation, with an ability to function simultaneously as an individual and the collective.

In order to prepare for this, we can look at the previous blog on “The Autistic Child” to get an understanding of the first step. We see here that autistic children have a certain level of connectedness yet maintain their separate identities. In this way, the autistic child becomes the most valuable model in how we may achieve the balance of individual with the collective.

In being able to act immediately as an individual-collective, we would need to functionally access the memory of who we are, the single Quantum entity that is connected to all things, then be immediately able to provide the experience of all possibilities.

That’s quite a feat for the average person, who for the most part, is operating with a limited awareness of consciousness and connectedness.
