Presence vs. Expression II
13 Feb 2011
We previously talked about presence and expression. We discussed the notion of presence being an ability to detect a quantum quality. The idea was that once one detected the quality or attribute, one could focus on this and that in turn allowed the attribute to be expressed.
Another way of looking at it is by asking the following questions.
- Is it present?
- Where is it?
- Can we find it?
These questions can be asked of any quality or attribute. Now it is possible that some of these attributes represent only a quality. Others may actually have a measurable characteristic or outcome.
The answer to the first question is either yes or no. When the answer is yes we detect the presence of what we question.
Where is it? The answer is also yes. It is there, because it is everywhere and wherever we look for it there is a possibility of finding it.
Can we find it? Once we focus on looking for it, we can find it and locate it.
Now what determines the answer to the initial question, is it present? The answer is yes if we believe it is yes. It has no other factor that determines this. Is it possible to believe it is there, if it isn’t? There is no possibility of it not being there, as all possible outcomes exist on a quantum level. Each is accessible by simply believing it to be so.
So, first one has to believe the possibility that it is so, then secondly that it is present. Believing it possible is what we call conceiving. So we establish a concept that it is so. We may think that it is our concept that brings it from a place of non-existence. In fact, it was already there, but we had just not been aware that it was there. Conceiving it is just discovering its possibility. This is where it blends into the arithmetic of Quantum Mechanics.
But, it is our beliefs that determine our ability to access the possibilities. It also determines which ones are not accessible. If we conceive that all blacks are lazy, then we enable the perception that all blacks are lazy by simply believing all blacks are lazy. Once we believe all blacks are lazy, then the ones who are not become inaccessible to our experience and we only come into contact with those who are and, thus confirming our perception. This serves to further justify our beliefs.
If we conceive that all whites are racist, we also enable that perception. Again first we believe that all whites are racist, which enables us only experience those who are. This allows us to perceive that all whites are racist and this supports and reinforces our belief.
This is the explanation for the behavior in our society for so many years.
