Presence vs. Expression

One of the intriguing and troubling ideas within quantum mechanics is the whole idea, in physics, referred to as wave particle duality. In everyday terms, this is somewhat difficult to express in a way that connects with everyone. The interesting thing is that even though we function in three dimensions of space, there are actually more dimensions predicted by our physics. Now, there are some forces that appear to be inter-dimensional such as gravity and magnetism, while others appear to have a dimensional location, that is to say a location in space. An example of this latter would be a charge, such as that we ascribe to an electron.
To illustrate, we can effectively produce an electric charge by rubbing a rod on a surface, such as a woolen cloth. If we pass the rod against ourselves, we can see the effects of the static electric charge. We can do the same by rubbing the soles of our feet on a carpet. Then, if we touch an object, we can feel the effect as the charge jumps between our body and the object.
The electron, as we have discovered, however, is not a point charge, but exists as a probability distribution everywhere. What does this mean? Let us take the example of light. It is everywhere. When the sun is precluded from making shadows and we are exposed to the rays, we can perceive light everywhere. In other words it has no specific location but seems to be everywhere. The light receptors, in our eyes perceive it to be everywhere. In other words, they detect light by its presence, not by a specific location, so we are able to say, light is present or not present everywhere.
If we had detectors in our body to detect magnetic fields, which we probably do, since most animals do, we would perceive the field to be everywhere. Again we would see this as presence or absence, then as an intensity of presence or absence, the same way that we perceive light.
The best way to think of anything which has a quantum attribute of being everywhere, is to simply think of it as presence. The science of detecting presence is to find some kind of a detector, that is enabled in the presence of the attribute, which is being screened for. When this presence has an expression that can become evident, then we have what we may define as an expression or a localization of that attribute. This is what happens when we locate the charge of an electron. It is also what happens when we note the photo-electric effect. It ceases to be just a presence, which was previously located as a universe-wide probability, becoming a localized attribute, the electric charge. In the case of light, it becomes the photon, knocking out the electron to become the noted photo-electric effect.
What does this mean to our everyday world? It means that any of our own quantum attributes can be detected, in our self, at any moment in time. The moment that we are able to detect it and focus on it, there is a change that takes place and it becomes an expression. The moment it has expression, it becomes located and that is how it becomes our reality. We conceive of pain and are able to detect a presence, we can associate it with the expression of pain, if we do so, then it is immediately pain. Hence, the more we focus on and notice the pain in observation the more it becomes an expression that has location in our reality.
This makes us very suggestible. This would provide the basis for hypnosis, which appears to be a hyper-observable state ,where one is very responsive to suggestion. The same works with the diagnosis suggested to you by your physician. The more that you are able to detect evidence of the diagnosis, the more you are able to have it as an expression. Be careful what you listen to and allow yourself to detect in evidence!
What this actually means in our day to day life is that, it is what we choose to focus on in expression that becomes the reality we have experience with. Most of us move along through the day in a fog focusing on the very things that we do not want to experience. We fondly believe that if the focus is on what we do not desire, somehow we can avoid it. From this discussion it is obvious that it is exactly the opposite of this. Our behavior often-times turns out to bring to us exactly the opposite of what we desire.
It is important to practice discernment, as this allows us to recognize the conditions that we do not desire. Once we have determined this, it is important to simply catalogue it and then forget about it. Discernment is void of attachment, and it is this attachment that is the precursor to focus. Since focus forces location, we must remember to save it for only those conditions we wish to have as a direct experience. Moreso, should we use discernment when offered an opinion that others have regarding ourselves or our condition. We should always be ready to skeptically observe and discern whether this serves us or not. If it does not serve us it should be rejected out of hand.
