When you think of how Calculus is presented in Mathematics, you begin to see an interesting pattern. The operation of differentiation may be presented as the first step into separation. 

The operation may first conceptualized as a tangent to a curve, then viewed either as a step into unity or separation of a single point on the curve at the place of the tangent. The reverse process is integration and goes in the opposite direction: in one sense a move towards completion and in the other towards more degrees of freedom.

The paradox in seeing it from either viewpoint is that they both are dependent on the pattern having an underlying connectivity and both seem to imply the same thing.

Throughout these posts, we have emphasized the underlying connectivity inherent in seeing things from a Quantum Mechanical perspective. We also have discussed the idea of order, in the direction of wholeness or unity, and disorder in the direction of separation. In thermodynamics, entropy is the term used to refer to the state of disorder. This literally can be considered dis-integration. Because of the primacy of connectivity in Quantum Mechanics, however, we now see that such a separation is not actually possible, and it is then only an illusion.

In situations where order is the prevalent characteristic, and the underlying connectivity is recognized, it should be regarded as an act of Integrity. To behave with integrity, a person, by his or her very nature, has to recognize the connectivity of all people. We see this in the context where a person refuses to bomb a neighbor’s house because he recognizes the neighbor as the same as himself. This is an act of integrity.

The unrelenting activity of evolution in the universe is a movement toward wholeness and unity. We’re witnessing this movement becoming more manifest in complex organisms, where it is being viewed as the eventual evolution toward a black hole in physicality. With the shift of balance from disorder to order, the universal flow of universal consciousness supports integration over dis-integration.

This means that eventually most people will evolve to the desire to move more towards positions of Integrity. Because of the universal flow in collective consciousness, societies in time will witness a movement towards basic connectivity of all people. On an individuated level of consciousness, this means that people will have a natural tendency to move away from others who do not support a position of integration and seem stuck on separation.

In the same way, businesses or organizations failing to adhere to principles that support integration will naturally fail as a result.
